COVID-19 update

As all of us grapple with the reality of COVID-19, we wanted to let you know what we're doing to help keep our customers and community safer.


This crisis has forced more people into a state of food insecurity. That's why we are doubling our donations to the hunger-relief organizations we already support, indefinitely. If you have extra resources, please consider donating to a local food bank or Feeding America. If you are facing food insecurity, please don't hesitate to contact your local food bank for assistance.

Our e-commerce

We will continue to fulfill orders with the utmost attention to hygiene and cleanliness; we minimize contact with the outside world and our COVID-19 tests have been consistently negative. Our package pickups have been happening in the mornings as opposed to the afternoons, so your order may not always go out the same day. Big thanks to our local postal carrier, Jaime, who kindly picks up packages to get them to you.

Stuck at home with the kids?

Us, too! If you are looking for new books, toys, or activities to entertain your little ones, we urge you to shop with small, independent retailers (such as our wonderful stockists) instead of Amazon or big-box stores. Shop online or give them a call—they'll probably be happy to do mail order. "Spending small" can mean the difference between a small business staying afloat or closing its doors.

Stay safe

We're all in for a challenge unlike any other. If you can, please join us in staying home as much as possible to protect the most vulnerable members of our communities—not to mention the health care workers, grocery store employees, delivery workers, and other people who are risking their own health for the greater good. If you do go out, wear a mask and stay distanced.
